ANIMAL CENTER is a full service veterinary facility comprised of a modern hospital, surgical unit, radiology department and on-site laboratory.
24-hour Emergency care is available.
We also have a hospital facility with a fully equipped on-site laboratory. We provide basic laboratory services, in addition to having a Microbiologist on staff.
Our Veterinarians are trained in state-of-the-art surgical techniques should your pet require a surgical procedure. We also maintain an extensive referral service for those procedures requiring specialized training and equipment.
We have EKG capability and we utilize the latest diagnostic equipment to ensure that your pet will receive the most comprehensive health care possible.
Animals who are candidates for a CT scan include those with neurological disorders, such as seizures, behavior changes, or problems walking. The animal is anesthetized with a general anesthesia during the procedure, since she must remain completely still.
The table on which the animal is laying is slowly advanced into the part of the machine that performs the scan (called the gantry). An x-ray tube rotates 360º around the patient to record the x-rays from many angles.
The number of images taken depends on the area and size of the suspected problem. When the computer finishes processing the information, an image appears on a monitor. The image is saved for further review and to compare to later scans to determine the effectiveness of treatment.
We offer Dental Specialty Services such as prophylaxis, extractions, cavity fillings, root canals, and teeth cleaning & polishing.
Animal Center is a behavior centered practice whose goal is to offer behavior advice to new puppies and kittens, as well as provide counseling in behavior modification for animals that have developed undesirable behavior problems.
ANIMAL CENTER also offers ultrasound, echocardiograms, and endoscopy by referral.
Above all, we believe in compassion. Compassion means knowing when to stop. . . . . allowing death with dignity when an illness can no longer be managed.
ANIMAL CENTER has a strong commitment to our community animal care groups. We perform subsidized spays and neuters for our local Humane Society.
We also do pro bono veterinary work on wildlife for Montana Fish & Wildlife Parks.
We are currently establishing a program through the Mikal Kellner Foundation to donate all our Euthanasia fees in order to create a fund to assist those pet owners whose pets require medical care beyond their financial ability.
